"Melody for Two Violins" is a short miniature which was first written for a dance project. It is a slow piece with Violin 1 having a lead role and Violin 2 playing a accompanying line. Influenced by folk music, it plays with minor versus Phrygian mode inflection and when reached its pick, brings in parallel major, but soon returns back to A minor.
